It seems to happen when I switch from the RDC session back to the Mac - for example, if I drag the mouse to the top of the screen so the menu bar drops down. I persistently experience kernel panics in OS X while (and only while) I'm connected via RDC. I'm using RDC 2.1.1 on OS X 10.6 connecting to a Windows 7 machine.
